for the following positions:
 
Long Term Substitute for 6th Grade Mathematics
Endeavor Charter School is seeking a long term substitute for 6th grade math. This teacher will teach one class of Common Core Math 6 and two classes of Compacted CC Math 6/7. Excellent lesson plans will be provided. There will also be additional homeroom and morning meeting expectations. Substitute needed for April 16th thru June 12, 2015.
 
Middle School Math Teacher
 Endeavor Charter School is seeking a NC certified, highly qualified middle school math teacher. This teacher will teach three classes comprised of Common Core Math and/or Compacted CC Math. Inquiry based, hands-on methods are preferred. There will also be additional homeroom and morning meeting expectations. Candidates should be prepared to discuss their instructional philosophy, a typical class period, classroom management, and ways they build community within their classroom.  
 
3rd grade Teacher
Endeavor Charter School is seeking a third grade teacher.  This teacher must be certified in North Carolina and be highly qualified. Experience with mCLass is essential.  The ideal candidate will be flexible and work well with a team while also being an expert and advocate for his/her subject areas and students.  
 
 

Director of Endeavor Charter School

Endeavor Charter School, a public charter school located in Raleigh, North Carolina, serves 508 students in Kindergarten through 8th Grade. The school’s mission is to nurture and inspire motivated students to push themselves beyond the ordinary and into the extraordinary by providing a challenging curriculum that enhances traditional education with experiential opportunities. Endeavor Charter School is seeking an inspired new Director who shares our core values and mission of education

 
The Director serves as the chief administrator of Endeavor Charter School. The Director is responsible for the effective day-to-day operations of Endeavor Charter School regarding the general administration of instruction, staffing, facilities, and other operational aspects of Endeavor Charter School. The Director shall perform all duties in accordance with North Carolina General Statutes, Department of Public Instruction regulations, and the policies and procedures established in conjunction with the ECS Board of Directors to ensure adherence to the Charter and mission of Endeavor Charter School.
 
Director responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
● Ensuring a safe school environment
● Supervising all school personnel
● Working with board to ensure that all financial and regulatory reporting standards are met
● Providing strategic leadership to promote school achievement and progress
● Representing Endeavor Charter School within the school community and to a broader audience
● Ensuring growth in personal and school-wide professional development 
 
Required:
● Graduate Degree
● Demonstrated successful leadership in an administrative position in a public or private school
● Experience working with a board of directors
● Ability to craft and implement an educational vision for a school
 
Preferred:
● Masters in School Administration
● Exhibited administrative school leadership in working with staff, students and the community
● Experience developing curriculum across grades K-8 in a variety of subjects
● Demonstrated successful teaching experience
● Experience with an experiential, “learn-by-doing” teaching philosophy
● Commitment to the academic goals and philosophy of Endeavor Charter School
● Experience or familiarity with data and financial management and human resources
● Experience with public relations
● Strong interpersonal skills as well as excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
