Andy Kristianson has served on the Board since November 2008 and is often relied upon to provide legal analysis and advice to the Board. Andy is a civil litigation attorney who has worked at the law firm McGuireWoods LLP since 2005. After graduating from the University of Washington School of Law in 1999, Andy worked in Seattle from 1999 until 2005, when he moved to Raleigh with his family (Andy’s wife, Lisa, is a native of Durham). Andy’s son Garrett is a 3rd grader in Mrs. Dahmer's class and his daughter Audrey is in Mrs. Rogerson's 1st grade class.
Andy is an alumnus of Leadership Raleigh, has served as a youth baseball coach with the Raleigh Parks and Recreation Department, and is a member of state and local bar associations in both North Carolina and Washington State.
DJ earned his undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University and his Executive Masters in Business Administration at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill – Kenan Flagler Business School.
DJ and his wife Laura have three children at Endeavor: Kenan, Emery and Grayson.
DJ serves on the board of Jobs For Life, a national nonprofit, and is a prior member of the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, prior officer of the Raleigh Sales and Marketing Association, and active in several medical associations. He is also an alumnus of Leadership Raleigh.
Christian Nechyba has served on the Board since April 2008 and has served as the Board Secretary since September 2008. Christian is a pediatrician and has been at Carolina Kids Pediatric Associates since 2002. He is often relied upon to provide medical guidance to the Board and to oversee health-related issues at Endeavor. Previously Christian was the Chief Resident in Pediatrics at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, where he also completed his pediatric internship and residency.
Christian and his wife Lyana have two children at Endeavor: Alex is a 6th grader in Ms. Nielsson’s class, and Sam is a 3rd grader in Mrs. Dahmer’s class.
Christian previously served on the March of Dimes Board of Directors and the Rex Hospital Pediatric Executive Committee. He has also taught community education classes on pediatric topics to parent groups and community businesses. He holds a medical license from the North Carolina Medical Board and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Margaret Holder
Lisa Springle has served on the Board since February 2010. Lisa, a Chicago native, is a former English teacher and English department chair at Raleigh Charter High School. She also taught and served as the tenth-grade English curriculum coordinator at Southeast Raleigh High School. Lisa has a Master of Arts in Teaching English from Duke University and is certified to teach high school English. Since 2003, Lisa has also worked as a freelance writer, authoring articles aimed at teachers and librarians.
Lisa and her husband Mike have three children: Jacob is a 3rd grader at Endeavor in Mrs. Dahmer's class, Katelyn is a 1st grader in Mrs. Gentile's class, and Liliana is four.
Lisa’s volunteer work at Endeavor is already extensive, as she served as the inaugural co-Secretary for PAWS, was a member of the high school committee, and served as the chair of the Endeavor Foundation’s design committee.
Helen Harris
Helen Harris has served on the Board since March 2010. Helen retired from a career in the biopharmaceutical industry in 2007, last serving as the Vice President of Sales and National Accounts for Gilead Sciences in San Francisco, California. Helen also has significant experience within the employment industry. She earned a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Helen and her husband Roland have three children: Brooke is a 7th grader in Mr. Roots's class, Haley is a 5th grader in Mrs. Veltri's class, and Will is a 3rd grader in Mrs. Wood's class.
Steve McAdams serves as the Director of Endeavor Charter School, is one of the school’s original founders, and is an original member of the Board. Steve has been an educator since he graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1970, with experience from 6th grade through adult education. He also served as a long-term coach of high school and recreational soccer.
