Registration for Spring Semester Now Open!
In an effort to simplify the registration process for Morning Music Ensembles, fees for these groups will now be collected twice a year, prior to the start of each semester, which begin in August and in January. Therefore, paperwork for the ensembles will be handled separately from that of the After-School Classes.
** Please include one check per child when registering for classes.
Beginning Band with Christine Tompkins
Beginning band is for students in grades 5-8 who are interested in learning a band instrument (flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, horn, tuba and percussion). This class meets twice a week in the mornings and will feature two outside-of-school concerts per year. Students will need to bring their own instruments, Essential Elements 2000 method books, folding music stand and a pencil to each class. The students store materials in instrument closets and will take them home in carpool at the end of the day. You do not need to read music to join beginning band - this is something we learn. Prerequisite: Prior enrollment in the class
Grade Levels: 5 - 8
Cost per student: $75* for the entire semester
Maximum Enrollment: 30
*Students will be asked to purchase a Fine Arts polo shirt to be worn at all concerts and festivals. Fees for the shirts will be collected separately, at the start of the semester.
** Please note: This class meets on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 7:45 – 8:45. Students will be working toward a performance to be scheduled near the end of the semester.
Endeavor Winds is for continuing band students in grades 5-8 who have been playing an instrument (brass, woodwind or percussion) for at least one year. This class meets twice a week in the mornings and will feature at least two outside-of-school concerts! Students will need to bring instruments, method books, folding music stands and a pencil to class. They will store materials in instrument closets and take them home in carpool at the end of the day.
Prerequisite: Returning students, or one year experience in Beginning Band.

Elementary Chorus with Christine Tompkins
Elementary Chorus is for students in grades 2-6 who enjoy singing all types of music! This morning Enrichment class features opportunities for students to expand their musical horizons through fun singing games, basic choreography, learning new songs, improving vocal technique and singing with other students. There are two concerts per year (dates TBA) that students are expected to attend. Come join the Friday Funday!

Cost per student: $60* for the entire semester

Instructor Bio: Ms. Tompkins graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Music Education from Elon University in 2011, and did her student teaching at Altamahaw-Ossipee Elementary School in Elon, NC. She attended North Broward Preparatory Schools in Coccunut Creek, FL for both middle school and high school. She is an instrumentalist whose primary instrument is the flute, and she has performed throughout Europe with the Make-a-Wish International Charity Band. She is excited to be here and to continue the standard of excellence that has become the tradition for all Endeavor Music Ensembles.
