Do you want to be able to recognize the difference between a bachata and merengue music, both of which have roots in the Dominican Republic? Did you know there’s one Spanish-speaking country in Africa? Have you ever wondered what chicha morada, a Peruvian drink made with purple corn, tastes like? Come learn about these diverse countries and their food, music, beliefs and celebrations.  Throughout this course, you will also be evaluating your own culture and beliefs. The main language of instruction in this class is English.
