Elementary
Elementary school at Endeavor Charter School has two main focuses. The first focus is to establish strong foundational skills in all academic areas. The second focus is to develop confidence and the skills necessary to collaborate with others. Our program is designed for an increase in independence appropriate for young students’ development.
- 4 classes of 20 students at each ELEMENTARY grade level
- Halls are organized developmentally (K and 1st, 2nd and 3rd, 4th and 5th) allowing for more continuity on each hall
- Year-long courses in:
- English language arts
- Mathematics
- Science
- Social Studies
- A progression of fine arts/enrichment courses, such as drama, music, Spanish, guidance, PE, and technology
- Self-contained schedule grades K-1st, meaning students stay with their homeroom teacher throughout the day
- Block schedule grades 2nd-5th, meaning students switch classrooms and receive instruction from more than one teacher
- Lunch in the multipurpose room, 30 minutes
- Daily recess, 30 minutes
- Celebration days, dress up days, literacy, field trips, service learning, reading buddies, public speaking, project-based learning
