    LITERACY AT HOME 
    Digital Children's Reading Initiative (DCRI) 
    The NCDPI Office of Early Learning created a digital bank of literacy activities for families and the community.   It is designed to assist families in cultivating confident, proficient, lifelong readers by providing free tools and resources that can be easily incorporated into everyday life.  The DCRI is organized first by grade level, prek-5th grade. Then it is organized by literacy skill; phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and oral language. Each skill page is then organized by a definition of the skill, a video of what the skill looks like, practice activities that require no materials, printable practice activities, and online activities. There is also an Online Libraries section.

Admissions

  • 2023-2024 Admissions Information

    The application period for the 2023-2024 school year has closed. We currently do not offer tours of the school unless you are offered a seat in the lottery. Private tours are provided when you are offered a seat. 

    Our lottery was held at 1:00 pm on March 7th, 2023. Results of the lottery are available to view on Lotterease.com.

    All applications and the admissions lottery are processed by a third-party provider. Lotterease is a nationally recognized corporation with automated systems in place to ensure a fully randomized and auditable lottery.
