School Nurse/Health & Wellness
At Endeavor Charter School, the health and wellness of our students is a priority. The following information provides parents with easy access to important information — medication forms, health care action plans, vaccination information and requirements, as well as policies and resources related to general illnesses.
We ask parents to keep a child home on days their child has:
● A temperature of 100.4 or higher; Students may return to school once they are fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication.
● An upset stomach, vomiting, or diarrhea; Students may return to school once it has been 24 hours since the last episode without the use of medication.
● A new or undiagnosed rash; Students may return to school after being assessed by a medical provider and cleared to return to school.
● Any contagious illnesses (ie, chicken pox; hand, foot, and mouth disease, strep throat, pink eye)
● When antibiotics are prescribed, Students may return to school after taking antibiotics for 24 hours.
● A cough that is persistent and interferes with the student's ability to participate in the school day like normal.
● Red eye(s) with yellow/green discharge; Students may return to school after being assessed by a medical provider and given a noncontagious diagnosis or after being treated with antibiotics for 24 hours.
Medication Administration
Please review our school medication policy. All medications (prescription and over-the-counter) require a medication order form filled out and signed by the student's medical provider.

Concussion Statement
Students who sustain a head injury (inside or outside of the school day) with signs and symptoms consistent with a concussion should be evaluated by a medical provider. No student who sustains a concussion may return to school on the day of the injury.
Students with a diagnosed concussion who are still exhibiting symptoms must provide medical documentation of accommodations needed. We encourage families to use the ECS Return to Learn: Academic Accommodation plan following a Concussion form.
